Christian Social Justice

A Biblical Movement against Racism, Slavery and Injustice

The Great Divide in America

In the USA, there are two dominant world views. The first world view has a secular, godless foundation. Adherents to that world view place their faith in secular values such as sex, materialism, power, pleasure and related activities that may feel good for a while—even years—but ultimately lead to destruction. Adherents to this world view may intend well and accomplish charitable activities to help others. But these well-intended efforts will ultimately fail without following the sovereign God of the universe.

The second world view is an understanding that there can only be one truth when world views conflict; and that there is an objective source of all moral authority. This moral truth comes from God and the Bible, that teaches that redemption from our sin (and all of us fall short of the perfect God) comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. He died for all our sins, and was resurrected, so that all of us may have eternal life if we place our trust in Jesus Christ. Only this second world view gives us assurance about a better life after we die, and we need not fear death.

For those following the first world view, did you have a bad experience in some church? Are you disturbed by horrible acts some people commit in the Name of Jesus, or politicize the Gospel with a callous eye toward justice or suffering? If so, please note that these unfortunate circumstances were predicted by Jesus in the Bible (Matthew 7, vs. 21-23). Do we pay attention to the small percentage of high-profile failures by “Christians”? Or do we instead behold the countless millions of transformed lives beyond human comprehension; of healing, love, mercy, incredible acts of charity and helping those in need; criminals becoming model citizens — miracles! — all through the power of Jesus Christ?

Sadly, people are blinded by strongholds, and will not even examine the evidence for Jesus and the Bible. If Jesus truly was resurrected, then it follows He is God, and the Bible is true. For evidence of Jesus’s resurrection, please consider:

• After Jesus’s death, no one ever produced a body of Jesus. If Jesus and His Gospel were fraudulent, surely the authorities of that time, determined to disprove that Jesus was the son of God, would have eventually produced a dead body of Jesus.

• The Roman seal covering the cave holding Jesus’s body was broken. The Roman soldiers guarding the cave would never allow that to happen, or else they would be executed. The only explanation is a miraculous act of God.

• Jesus’s apostles faced death and torture, rather than just admitting that accounts of Jesus’s resurrection were a big lie. These apostles never would have chosen death unless they ACTUALLY WITNESSED Jesus’s resurrection.

• The book of Isaiah described in graphic detail the crucifixion of Jesus Christ 700 years before it happened—and that was before crucifixion even existed! Non-Christian archaeologists verified that Isaiah’s account was in fact written 700 years before the crucifixion of Jesus.

• There were more than 500 witnesses to Jesus’s resurrection, and the 4 Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John testified to Jesus’s life and resurrection, as independent accounts.

• There were more than 300 Old Testament accounts about Jesus.

• Biblical accuracy has been verified by non-Christian historians.

• The American Civil Rights Movement in the USA succeeded because of the deep faith of the leaders. It was God’s intervention for justice in the USA after generations of evil.
